Our Mission
At Sunrise Multicultural Project, we are committed to fostering unity, understanding, and empowerment within our community. We strive to:
- Build bridges between communities through shared activities and open dialogue.
- Provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals from all backgrounds.
- Empower minority groups by promoting cultural exchange, lifelong learning, and collaboration.
Our mission is driven by our dedication to relieving the charitable needs of ethnic minority families in Banbury and its surrounding areas.
English for Speakers of Other Languages
Our ESOL Classes are free of charge and open to anyone who would like to improve their English skills. Whether you are a beginner or looking to enhance your fluency, our classes are designed to support you in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Guided by our core values, we aim to:
- Advance education by offering nurseries, out-of-school clubs, and adult education courses.
- Promote health and well-being by providing advocacy, advice, and support.
- Enhance social welfare by creating recreational opportunities that improve quality of life.
Through these initiatives, we ensure that all our efforts are directed toward charitable purposes, promoting inclusivity, equity, and community growth.

Sunrise Multicultural Project Receives Grant from the Peoples Postcode Lottery
We are excited to share some wonderful news – Sunrise Multicultural Project has been awarded a generous grant from the Peoples Postcode Lottery!
This funder will have a real and lasting impact on the work we do with ethnically diverse communities and families here in Banbury. It will help us continue running our youth clubs, cultural celebrations, drop-in sessions, and educational workshops, as well as develop new opportunities that bring people together and reduce isolation.
Our community is home to people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and languages. This grant means we can strengthen our support, expand our reach, and ensure that everyone – regardless of background – has the chance to feel included, valued and empowered.
We extend our gratitude to the Postcode Lottery and to everyone who plays – you’re helping us change lives for the better.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund, Cherwell District Council, Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Oxford Community Foundation, Banbury Charities and Banbury Town Council for their continued support.
